About the Program

 

What is the HLS Green Living Program?

The HLS Green Living Program’s purpose is to educate and engage the HLS students in sustainability initiatives, including recycling. waste reduction, energy conservation, and water conservation.

A total of four students are employed to work three hours each per week on a range of ecological education programs and energy-efficiency measures. These students work in the HLS dorms.

The program is modeled in part on the successful undergraduate Faculty of Arts and Sciences Resource Efficiency Program. The Harvard Business School also participates in this program.

 

Who Supports the HLS Green Living Program?

Harvard Law School Facilities Management provides the financial support for HLS Green Living Program. Their support funds the program activities and marketing efforts, four Green Living Representatives, and coordinator through the Harvard Green Campus Initiative. A Steering Group provides guidance and leadership for the program.
