Green Living Program (GLP)

REPYou have done your research, built some key relationships on campus and now have the resources to build your own GLP. Congratulations!

A successful and long-term program depends upon your ability to deal with many management challenges and logistical details. With patience, hard work and readiness for unexpected changes, you will be able to do so effectively—and you might just have fun in the process!

We have divided the extensive information about running a GLP into the following three categories:

This sections looks at the early stages of program implementation. Topics include the purpose of a GLP, tailoring the model for your own context, finding a place for your program to "live," planning a budget and raising funds, designating roles within the program, recruiting and training staff, and structuring your work.

This section explains more about the day-to-day tasks required to keep your GLP going strong. It covers everyday general administration tips, creating and maintaining a positive vibe among staff and partners, developing your program's reputation, extending the program's reach, and helping your reps make the most of their experience.
