Campaigns
At Harvard University, the Green Living Program (GLP) has taken on a number of activities and issues in its three-year history. A sampling of these is provided in this section to demonstrate what a GLP can do and to help readers develop their own projects.
Please note that many of these campaigns had unique life cycles. They may have evolved into larger activities over time as their component parts became familiar to students. They may have been changed from year to year for the sake of variety, or they may have been worked on in small parts over the course of a semester or year.
Because you will be customizing the projects for your campus, we have provided resources and documents in formats you can edit. If you will be using the Harvard Green Campus Initiative (HGCI) experience to advocate for a GLP at your school, be sure to take special note of the successes of each campaign or activity. However, please remember to consider your student population, your unique opportunities to save, the importance of individual reps' effort and enthusiasm, and other factors when assessing the level of savings you can achieve on your campus.
