In my dorm: Recycling & Reducing Waste

What can I recycle?

Single Stream Recycling

Recycle all paper, cardboard, metal cans and foils, bottles, jars, cups and containers mixed together in the same bins, bags, and barrels. Plastics must be labeled with a recycling symbol and #1-7. Staples, binding, and plastic window envelopes are okay. No film bags or wraps, no foam cups or packaging, no trash.

Where can I recycle @ Harvard Business School?

Each on-campus dorm room should have its own recycling bin that will be emptied by the custodian. There are also bins in dorm lounges, laundry rooms, and other academic and administrative buildings. See above for electronic and other waste recycling locations.

How can I get a recycling bin for my room?

If for any reason a bin is no longer in your room, please submit an online request to HBS Operations at http://pine.hbs.edu/ops/workRequest/index.jsp or call 617-495-6811.
