Attend a LEED Workshop, Become a LEED Accredited Professional
The HGCI has sponsored private LEED Training workshops for Harvard Facilities Managers and other interested Harvard professionals in order to have them learn more about LEED Standards and Certification Process, potentially in preparation for their becoming LEED Accredited Professionals.
Priscilla Noetzel-Wilson, LEED Accredited Professional and Senior Project Manager for Harvard Real Estate Service, avows that her LEED training and Accreditation have been particularly useful for her project management work at Harvard.
“What I have personally noticed is that the training and study for the exam gave me real knowledge of the detailed requirements [for LEED Certification]. Being quite certain of the compliance requirements for each [LEED] point helps me in the day-to-day decision-making; for instance, when product changes are being proposed by the contractor, I am always vigilant that they do not affect LEED compliance. The knowledge of LEED simply gives me a broader frame of reference in approaching any problem on the project.”
To sign up for a LEED workshop, visit the LEED website. If you are interested in attending a workshop on the Harvard campus, email info@greencampus.harvard.edu to be included on a LEED workshop announcement list
