Harvard worked with Fibertite to develop a "Cambridge Green" color for the roofs of the Five Cowperthwaite and Ten Akron Street buildings, which are visible from nearby high-rises. Cambridge green is less reflective than the white roof, but still qualifies as a cool roof. The materials of Fibertite are seamed together with hot air, avoiding the need for caulking or adhesives.

Note on Urea Formaldehyde

Harmful urea-formaldehyde resins can be found in some glues used in composite woods, such as; plywood paneling, medium density fiberboard (MDF) and door cores. While formaldehyde is a naturally occurring VOC, it is carcinogenic and an irritant in larger concentrations. A “green” product under Division 6 would not contain any added urea-formaldehyde.
